i'm wondering if the bed divider could be installed upside down..? i'm going to be hauling my atv in the bed and want to protect the rear window. i thought that might work perfect... if it can be done. anybody ever try it?

Not sure it'd provide that much protection, especially if you take into consideration the warning sticker on the divider. If you really want to protect your cab, I'd get a real set of "headache" bars.

i've seen people use it. it's made of aluminum so not sure if it will hold like you need it to be. I would strap down the atv tight just to cover your bases.

oh absolutely. it's main purpose would be to act as a stop when i drive up on, and to space the machine back from the window. once in place, it'll be completely secured with cargo straps. i just wondered if it was possible to flip it over.

what kind of bike do you have? because when i load my atv's into my bed the tires hit, or the bumper will hit the edge of the bed/ utilitrack rail well shy of the window.

and yes you can flip it over to use as a window protector

I have used my bed divider to protect the rear window on a big motorcycle trip I took last year. I cut out the the stake holes in the bed rail caps and built wood rails so I could stack my rubbermaid containers up higher. I did not have anything very heavy against it though.

Yes it can be done. But I just use the divider in the original position and move it back a couple of inches, which keeps the front end of my Polaris 500 away from the back glass.

not sure about the sprayed in liner but, with the plastic bedliner I use a 2x6 as a stop. just insert it into the molded slots in the side of the bed. works just fine for me.
