Some like what I did and others don't. LOL

I notched out the overhead console and put the radio up top.

I mounted mine in the center console where the OEM DVD player mounts, and drilled a hole for the mic where that little flappy separator door comes out for big drinks. I wish I had pics, it was a super clean install, looked factory with how the OEM center console liner had a spot for the DVD player. Just reamed it out and mounted my cobra in the now hole.

This is where I put mine. I didn't really see any other suitable place. It seems to be a good spot. I'd like to mount the bracket for the mic higher but it's ok for now. Only problem is when I'm flying off road hitting whoops and big bumps the mic flys off the bracket lol.

IIRC just power and ground but I'll tomorrow. Not sure what else it'd need.

I mounted my FM radio in my center console, running a magnetic mount antenna on my roof....would also work for a CB radio...

That's slick. His do the magnetic mounts work?
The mag is part of the base of the antenna, it gest stuck on the center of the roof of the cab and the cable runs into the cab thru the sliding rear glass. My setup comes in & out, not really meant to be in there all the time, just for when out in the desert for the races...

Key to a good install is a well placed antenna with a good grounding plane. My wife wont let me install my cb. I have an old one thats pretty cool too and has been tweaked/tuned. Have a magnet mount cellular style antenna for emergency use... And a long extension cable somewhere. Got rid of my other antennas and cbs.

If anyone wants it, PM me a good offer. I doubt i have the box or could find it... I still recall the model number: trc430 with channel buttons on the mic. I may have a spare mic or two that need channel buttons fixed, but have one good one and normal mics work too.

Looks like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vt5pVCsMPyo&feature=youtube_gdata_player

I may also have the PA speaker for it.... Works great with a revenger.

I have a Cobra 75wx installed in my T. The cool thing about that unit is that there is is just one small box that you can mount under the seat and then all of the controls are in the hand set. I didn't bother mounting the handset anywhere. it just sits in a cup holder or or under the seat when not in use. I fabed an antenna mount at the front right corner of the bed with a quick disconnect so I can remove it when I'm driving around the deer lease.

Mine is on a custom bracket bolted to the center bench bolts. Nobody ever rides in the middle, so it works perfectly, I have a wilson antenna mounted to the roof and an external speaker to clarify the noise coming through.

Not for sure about the CBs Antennas but i drilled and did a permanent mount thru my roof on my Icom VHF antenna, works great and ran the antenna wire and power inside the console right behind the factory DVD player.. Out of the way and clear view for prying eyes..

Heres the new Cobra 29 LX, and I have a 3' Firestick (adjustable tip) mounted on my headache rack. I also got a RF Extreme Turbo Echo Mic for Christmas. CB's are still very common in these parts of the woods. Most 4x4's have em. A lot of people think CB is dead. That couldn't be farther from the truth. Just turn one on , and listen to the skip on a good day. I ran the power to a switched fuse in the fuse box, and I have two grounds. One under the dash on a metal to metal surface, the other to the passenger seat mount bolt on the floor.I ran the coax cable under the carpet and passenger seat, then along the carpet trim towards the right side floor trim, and finally out of the cabin vent flap on the back of the cab and then to the antenna.
