Well the unexpected finally happened to me this past Friday night. Approaching a 90 degree curve less than one mile from my house, my brakes went out. Pedal went to the floor and brakes barely grabbed. I tried to use the e-brake but I could not slow down enough to make the curve. Ended up locking up the tires and skidding off the road, through a ditch, and into some trees. Needless to say I was devastated. I've put lots of time and effort into this truck and it has never let me down. Unfortunately, I was also pretty banged up from the wreck. Right hand is cut up, left hand is burned from the airbag going off, nose is busted, and I have a nice gash on the top of my head that need 3 staples to close. Luckily no one was with me and no other car was involved. I truly believe that God was with me that night, I'm thankful that I went into the trees head on and not at an angle. The police said if I went through the ditch at an angle, the truck would've flipped and who knows what the outcome would've been. Just got a call from the insurance company today saying that the T is totaled. Did about $12k worth of damage, frame was bent and slightly twisted. Thankfully I'm still here today but the T will definitely be missed. :*(

Looks like you took a lot of body damage.
Were you belted in?

Yes, its funny I honestly don't put my belt on until I get a little closer to the city, being that I live in the country and there are rarely any other cars on the road, but something told me to put my belt on and a few seconds later. BAM!

Damn man, glad you are Ok! Were the brakes fairly new, or old?
The brakes were new, I just had all 4 pads and rotors swapped out for the Powerslots cryo slotted and Hawk LTS not long ago.

That's crazy man. Hope you recover quickly. Sad to see your truck totaled it was one of my favorites.

Glad your alive and you only suffered surface injuries. The T is replaceable. Get better brother.
I agree, the brakes on our trucks really suck.

They stop nice, but if ABS kicks in then its all over. Theres been so many times where my pedal would just hit the floor and makes all these grinding noises but doesnt actually help me stop. When I had my accident I went in at full speed cause the brakes didnt do crap. I would of rather skidded then nothing at all. Lots of times offroad too where they just spaz out and do nothing
