Very interesting... anyone?

 

i was looking at my dash today and in the part that has the gear selector and the odometer i notice that it can also display a digital MPH, and it also looks like a Rear Sonar indicator? do they use the same instrument clusters in infinities and that is a option on them? or how about does any one know how to activate both features? or even any one noticed it at all? it was at dark out and i was just listening to the radio and looked closer at the that part of the cluster.

Digital MPH display?? I have an '04 but I never heard of this even on an '05. Anyone else know about this?

 

all I can add is that once I did the ecu reset, the slip light comes on now, never noticed it before.....

I see it, the rear sonar look like it has a "meter". It would be cool if it work, it might be there for the future (07 maybe?). I posted a question on the Armada/Infiniti forums to see if they have it and does it work.

I don't see it in my manual. My guess is it is something for the back up radar on Armadas or QX not equipped with NAV. Only a guess. :teethmast

It's in the technical service manual, not the owner's manual that comes with the truck.

there was some talk on this here some time ago and i dont think anyone, at that time, that figured this out

 

Why is there even there? I don't even think the QX has a digital readout. I know the Mada doesn't. Besides, what good is it all the way down there? It's not in an easy to see spot.

It looks like it has both. You can clearly see the MPH on it. Strange

I posted the question on the Armada/Infinity forum but it might be awhile, that forum is not as active as here.

 

It might work if when you start your Titan, at the same time you hold down the trip odometer button on the dash, like you were resetting the trip odometer. Someone on this forum has posted about this before, it has been a long time ago. I've done it before and got a rpm type reading, and alot of other things. I hope this helps.

Someone at the Dealership informed that it shows the average MPH. If you continually (sp ) press the odometer button it will eventully (sp) show ?? Don't know exatcly what that does for the titan or means ?

i couldn't get the average MPH to show up in the area that we're all talking about. there's a variety of information that shows up where the odometer reading is but i'm not sure which one is average mph or if it is even there.

I just did the same, it's cool. It give alot of info but I don't know all the "lingo" Few things I can make out was, it told me I had a V8, octane 87 stuff like that. I'm going to take a video shot of it and post.

cool ill have to try that.. do you press and hold the odometer button? or do you press and release a bunch of times until it go's to that mode? with out doing this you guys said there is a type of coding? maybe in that coding that is not understand able just by looking at it there might be a seting for these features to turn on?

 

Looks like there's a whole section on that in the FSM under on page DI-5 under combination meters. Reading it now. Says to turn the ignition to on while holding the odometer trip meter switch for 5-8 seconds. If it's activated it will show tESt on the display.
