This is a new thread to bring new foulks up to speed on the FT90.
some guys on the forum ( DanBlp, deerslayer, 08crewcab, pcg_k25 and others i think thats right if its wrong feel free to correct me lol)
Now what is FT90 the kit is a adapter plate, hardware, and harness so you can install a 90mm ls2/ls7 TB. Ls7 seems to be the better of the two. You do need to buy your own TB. Now to run this mob smoothly you need uprev and your ROM to change some things in the ecu. You also need a CAI that is 4" (airaraid) or a coupler to attach your CAI to the TB which is 4". The kit can be run on all year trucks.
To get on the list t order the kit pm DanBlp.
Now for the ones that one of these kits already post pics and vids in here please. the kit cost $300

Just wished that UpRev worked on the 2012's......I shot them an email, hopefully they respond back with a yes. Then I'll have to sell my hypertech and bully dog (that hasn't even arrived yet)!

Oh the postman didn't look like Santa, but he sure came bearing gifts.
Ordering Uprev today, 07 manifold is on, AirRaid MXP is on, LS7 in hand, missing puzzle piece is Uprev.
Thanks again guys for making this.

Second batch of plates will be cut this week.

Very Nice work, I am impressed with the quality, with that shiny adaptor plate, might have to polish up the LS7 exterior now to make it purdy too.

How much are the kits?
Oops...reading is fundamental. Says in the first post...$300. :bangit:

are you guys still able to keep your engine cover on or will it no longer fit? Anybody running this with a S/C?

#16 ·
No the cover has to be modified. None on a SC.

#17 ·
Has anyone installed this with a CSF radiator yet? Gweasel I know you have this radiator as well I am just curious between the FT90 and the 4" intake and the dual row CSF if it will all fit. None supercharged with it yet.... If work stays busy I should have all my parts and porting done on the blower within the next two pay checks. Its been super slow for the past 3 months here at work so it was put on the back burner. I got paid today so I am ordering a LS-7 off ebay today and when I hear back from DanBlp I will be ordering the Harness from him so I will just need to find someone to weld on a 90mm plate on the Eaton snout or find a snout off of an Eaton for the chevy I have only seen photos so I think I might just try to find someone to modify the Titan snout on the blower to work then buying a part that may or may not work.

Also I dug up some of the updates for the FT so you don't have to read through all 70 pages.

Install Update 2:

If your titan still has the screen that is part of the gasket between the TB and IM, you need to cut it out during the install; otherwise the LS TB butterfly will hit and/or hang up on it. Remember the o-ring gasket needs to remain. Mine has been gone so long I didn't even think about it until Ostaf had an issue with the screen during his install today.

Install Update 3:

As stated in the instructions, if your Titan engine dies upon cold starting, apply light pressure to the gas pedal as the engine starts; holding it for 5-10 seconds. Upon release the Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) will take over.

If you would like to permanently fix the cold starting issue, drill a 3/16” hole in the center of the butterfly/throttle plate. For the LS2 TB, drill the hole centered just below the rotating bar. For the LS7 TB, drill the hole centered just above the rotating bar as shown in the picture attached. The hole in the picture is actually from back when I started with 1/8" and it wasn't enough. So far 3/16" has been working well.

All I gotta say is Titan Tough with GM stuff........ Hahaa!!!

No really, looks top notch and very clean. Great job fellas. Keep them mods coming!!

#19 ·
LOL I was waiting for this^^^^^^^^^^^ Funny stuff!!

#21 ·
so how do these run without uprev? i came across an ls7 tb from my friend building up his corvette but not sure i want to bust out all the cash for uprev

#22 ·
You have to have uprev to run this. The Uprev Rom you get with the purchase of the kit will have all the adjustments you need. W/out Uprev, your truck will not run with it.

what are expected gains from this?

whats total cost? the kit + ls2/7 tb?

What is the advantage of the 90mm TB on a mostly stock engine??? Most of you guys are near stock, so why? I noticed the biggest difference by just re-flashing the ecu and cleaning up the TPS signal. I don't understand a 4" TB on a non-FI engine.

#27 ·
Sorry dude didnt mean to piss you off....a few bolt on parts to me equals mostly stock. I was asking a legit question.

#29 ·
90mm comes on a stock motor also guys have tried and test this setup and it works great and the ls7 tb is just a much better tb then the stock titan one
cost should be around 300 for the kit 150ish for the tb and 500 for the uprev if you done have it

#30 ·
I said most here look stock....every forum has a few people that think outside the box. This isn't my first Titan or turbo guys...I was just asking a question to the normal bolt on guys, not the built 4088 running stickies.

So what's with the horrible case of bitters?!

The mod was tested by Relentless and they developed their own set up showing some impressive gains of up to around 15 - 20 hp.

These DYI guys are trying to give the Ballers on a Budget an alternative. I've done the math and my only benefit is that I have UpRev but overall I'm saving a ton of cash following all the threads available to us here and the comrodery of the members is awesome.

I understand you're just asking a question and hopefully you'll get the answers you need. In the end this is one bad F'n mod that just opens up more of the suppressed power our Titans are capable of producing.
