Hey! Bought a high miler 2005 Smoke Titan crew, off road, big tow, LE...all possible options 3 weeks ago...Had tranny, drive shaft, rear end, brakes and exhaust manifolds replaced a month before! Has 146,000 km (87,000 mi) on it. Guy towed large boat. Transferred 160,000 km (96,000 mi) warranty to my name...full inspection, no other problems. Just gonna use it for my job (carrying inspection equipment under tonneau cover.Probably no towing.

Guy paid $68,000 tax, extended warranty, rust protection etc. I paid $18,000.Included set of Toyo Ice Tires.

Love it !!! ( southern ontario, Canada )

Currently at about 80k miles, gone to hell. I bought it off-lease/past warranty (planned from the lease inception, before I realized quality left the Nissan business plans) and they offered me a 24 mth/24k extended warranty for $2,400. I've been told the extended warranty is a money maker for the seller and isn't worth it, but in hindsight I'm having second thoughts.

Depending on load on the truck...such as frequent towing and hauling for everyday chores...I would consider the extra warranty. Also, if you are planning on keeping the truck, changing the timing chain is almost a must before hitting the 130,00 mark if you want your truck to run like new.

You are referring to a interference motor where if the timing is off....or if the chain breaks..the valves will be hitting the pistons and cause massive damage. Massive damage as in.....half of the 32 valves would probably be bent and would have to be replaced. I'm not sure if our motors are or not. I know my DSM 4G63 is an interference motor and we are keen to keeping the timing at top dead center anytime we do anything to the engine. Other wise....we replace all 16 valves.

My 04' has 125,000. The wife drives it mostly since I picked up an 07' The funny thing is, everytime I drive it I am still impressed with the get up and go it has compared to my 4wd with Bully Dog. I tell her, "your a very lucky woman to get to drive such a sweet machine!" I miss ol green every once in a while....that is until I have to lock 4lo in. :)

I just turned 138,000 in my 04. Other than the usual stuff for 04's (manifolds, rear seals, brake judder) it has been a sweet ride. I have done fluid changes on several occasions and of course regular oil changes with synthetic. Still running strong and looking good. I frequently fill the bed to capacity and travel long distance, tow maybe 5 times a year.

Just traded my '04 with 99900 miles on it and bought an '07 to replace it.
Never had a problem other than the "brake judder" fixed at about 6k miles.
It was still on the original brake pads, last checked at 87k they were 70% worn.
