There are to plugs on the inside of the truck you need to remove to get to the bolts. Take them out and remove the bolts then pull the light off.

You'll need a deep well socket for this. Either an 8mm or 10mm, I can't remember, but I'm thinking 8. Take the nuts completely off and lift it out.

8mm is correct, be careful not to drop nuts in bedliner. There are two clips on the light, pull up from the bottom then down.

Just removed mine 2 weeks ago to change the bulbs to LED's, yep it's an 8mm deep.

Mine is also super, triple extra weatherstripped down.

Trying to do an LED swap, but I stopped b/c I didn't want to have to source/replace the sticky foam between the light and the paint on the roof.

You guys just ignore that part?

On the Titan XD 2016 there is a fairing on both sides of the 3rd brake light assembly. there are four 8 or 10mm bolts inside and there are NO holes and plugs. I had to gently pull back the headliner enough to snake a socket and extension in there. Poor design, no after thoughts.
Today i will try and pull up the assembly and remove it. It conflicts with my new camper shell and it has to go. Will store it for the eventual day in many years to come when i replace it to sell.
if the foam double-sided tape is difficult i will use a heat gun to soften it up and that should take care of it.

Anyone have any pictures or ideas on the 2016's???
