I just replaced my IPDM and now have a check engine soon light on for the front two Catalytic Converters which are impossible to get to. Looking at $$$ to replace. Do they really need replaced or is there something else I can do? Is this a bad read because of the new IPDM dropped in.

^^^what he said, happened to me. The raw fuel destroys the CATS. if you under 80k It should be fixed under warranty. If not then get some high flow cats installed. The factory cats are attatched to the exhaust manifold and come one piece.

I wouldn't tell the dealer your IPDM when bad.

Yeah, just take it in and say "what does this light mean?". And they will fix it under the 8/80k warranty (if you are still within the mileage). Good luck!

My check engine light came on last fall. Began to drink oil, Nissan replaced my longblock at 93000 miles (I have extended warranty) due to cat failure. They only replaced the bad one, now truck back in shop 3000 miles later with another cat code......Nissan needs to buy my truck (love my Titan) or replace another longblock with only 3020 miles on it. DUMBASSES! Dealer says they wouldnt pay for the other one 3 months ago during the swap. UNFRICKINBELIEVABLE.
