What you read about intalling a resistor on each one is what you'll have to do. Lots of folks have done that.

 

Ok. I read a lot of reviews that said those resistors get really hot and can cause problems. Is this true? Which resistors work the best?

 

Just Google "load resistor"
Get the right one you shouldn't have any problems.
Using one for the last 3 years no problems.

Just do it near the light.
Find the positive and negative wire for reach turn signal and just tap to them. Basically bridge them with the load resistor. You'll need one for each LED.

For me these were the green with black stripe (positive) and black (ground) on the headlight wiring harness on the back of the headlight itself on a 2012 Titan.

The resistors will only create a small amount of heat, and only when the turn signal is actually in use.

No, they're not.

I double sided tape mine to the body. Keep it vertical for heat to rise between the fins. Probably very minimal heat produced anyway but yes it's only when turn signal is on that it's getting any current through it.

 

Does it matter if they blink fast or is this just preference?

 

Will it hurt anything? No. Is it legal? I don't know. Would it be distracting to a driver behind you? Possibly slow their reactions to your signal? Perhaps.
