Looking for a secure, lockable tonneau cover

We are going on a road trip this summer and I need a lockable tonneau cover to keep our stuff secure. So it needs to be some sort of a hard top. But the ones i'm seeing such as ARE and LEER are around $1300 installed. More than i'd really want to pay.
Are there any other options?

Oh, and it needs to work with the utilitrac system.

Problem with the trifecta is it's a canvas/vinyl material. Easily cut and your stuff stolen. But their new solid fold looks promising.

I was looking at the Retrax for my T. Its a little on the high side in price but the quality looks outstanding. The other pro about is that it works with the utilitrac and its low profile. They are also a TT sponser if Im not mistaken.

I picked up an Undercover Tonneau few months back. Best $750 I spent.

Right now after evaluating my needs and looking at the various tonneaus i'm leaning towards the extang solid fold.

I think I would benefit more from one can take completely off easily as I do get loads of dirt/barkdust/rock in the summer time or sometimes get larger loads from the home improvement store. So I think a folding one fits my needs better.

But i'm still shopping.

Archer,

There is a real inexpensive option that has worked great for me. I have the rails in the bed for the cleats, and just got 2 sheets of 3/4 inch treated plywood, and cut them to fit. I have one big piece, and one small one. I can pull the small one out and lay it in the bed if I have something tall. And when I need the whole bed I usually strap the large piece on what ever I am hauling to hold it all down. An added plus is you can stand on the "cover", and I have screwed blocks into to hold down carts, and other items, that are wider that the truckbed.

I think I spent $40, and with the boards in and the tailgate locked, I never worry about my tools I have in the back.

I did end up getting the extang solid fold off of ebay for cheaper than anywhere else. They didn't ship it with the right hardware for the rail system but I contacted them and they got it out to me right away.
It's a nice cover. It does leak slightly in the seams where it folds though. But being able to fold it up has been extremely beneficial.

Do yourself a favor and call Dave at Atlantic Auto Accessories in Daytona Beach. They are one of the largest hard cover dealers in the country. Their number is (386) 760-8899. Dave can show you and explain to you just about everything there is to know about tonneau covers and can direct ship it to you in a matter of a couple of days. Installs are easy and he is just a phone call away. Did I mention their pricing? They have saved me hundreds of dollars on all of my hard tonneau covers. Enjoy!

UPDATE: See you found a cover already. Best of luck and enjoy!
