I apologize for the length of this ahead of time, but I am in need of help before I bite the bullet and take it to the dealership and get completely raped!
A few weeks ago my Titan started idling rough and hesitating/shaking at speeds over 50 mph. On the advice of a friend, I sent it into an oil change place for fuel injection cleaning. This helped for about a day and the problem was back. Also during this time the Check Engine light came on so I took it to my local Advance to get it checked. It gave the following codes: P0300 and P0174. I cannot remember why, but I decided to change all of plugs...which were completely nasty. It ran like a dream that evening, but the next day all hell broke loose. I opened her up to blow out the junk from the injector cleaning and then started going up a ridge and I began to loose speed/power. There were all sorts of clanging, rattling, but luckily no knocking noises; there was absolutely no power starting off and it took 1/2 mile to get to 40 mph. At the suggestion of the guy at Advance, I took it to a muffler shop locally and got a "smoke test" for intake leaks and he tested my MAF sensor while he was in there. Got the all clear on both and he cleared all the codes. He said since the MAF was fine, that he would replace the right front O2 sensor. Thoughts?
Today I drive to get some 100% gasoline (tired of using this ethanol crap) and my light comes back on and I get the following P0172 and P0175 codes. I am at a complete loss and extremely frustrated. I've had my shade-tree guys mention everything from a bad cat, bad fuel pump, dirty fuel filter and bad O2.
Any help you guys can give, will extremely appreciated!!!!
