Truck sitting uneven??

Hello Fellow Titan owners,

Since we bought our truck over 2 yrs ago (bought it used with 10k miles) I noticed from looking at the truck from behind that it didn't sit level. I just kinda brushed it off until today.

I took a measuring tape and measured from the ground to the wheel well arch centers all around and revealed that the Drivers Side of the truck front and rear sits about 3/8's to 1/2" lower than the drivers side.

I know this is not exact measurement, but I moved the truck to different spots on the driveway to see if I could duplicate it. I know the concrete isn't perfectly level but showed the same 3/8's to 1/2" difference parking in a different spot.

This is a bone stock 15 CC SV 4x4 is this normal? and how on earth would cause this to be off?

Any Ideas?

A little confused by your first comment - the driver's side sits lower than the driver's side? If you mean the driver's side sits a tad lower than the passenger side, my guess is because that's the side the fuel tank is on. Run yourself nearly empty and re-measure, or alternately have someone who weighs about 150-175lbs sit in the passenger side and see if that levels it out.

That is something I did not think of the gas tank. Good idea there. Yeah the drivers side front and rear sits 3/8"-1/2" lower than the passenger side front and rear.

I never thought about the gas tank and it does have a full tank of gas right now so it would be at its heaviest as per weight.

This comment does make sense. Hoping that is all it is, because what else could it possibly be?

Tomorrow heading to Pep Boys for an alignment, not many options for alignments in my area and Pep Boys offers a year warranty for the same price as a one time thing at the Stealership. I am also having them (Pep Boys) install the Camber Bolts. Planning on getting new tires in the next week or so.

I usually do the wrench turning on my vehicles but due to a back injury I am dependent on finding people to do the work for me. I am not used to that and is difficult for me to get used to.

Thanks for the input everyone, much appreciated.

This is pretty normal. Trucks and cars will commonly sag on the drivers side due to the added driver weight. If you are not a small guy like a 150 pound little Japanese guy which these trucks are designed by this will happen more often than not. I also have the same problem on my vehicles as I am 6' 3'' 265 and my truck sags too. I did fix it when I installed coilovers however because I added more preload to the drivers side.

The sag was noticeable without anyone in the car. Just it sitting all by itself. It does make sense it would be the gas tank. Never thought of that. It affects the drivers side almost a 1/2 inch front and back vs the passenger side. It does make the most sense thus far.

Gas tank is on the drivers side, different height between drivers side and passenger side very common on Titans

Another thing people forget is the exhaust runs down the passenger side this helps offset the weight of the tank. The tank itself is actually light as it is plastic. When its full of fuel it will definitely have some weight to it. The factory exhaust is pretty heavy, even the muffler alone. My point is I am sure the tank has little to do with it as the engineers would build the truck accordingly. Most trucks that I know of have the tank on one side or the other. Just my thought.

My truck also had the lean problem and after number of things I did nothing fixed the problem, replaced the lower control arm coil over springs and shocks still nothing fixed. Than something I saw when installing my sway bars which was the Body mount bushing just under the driver side seat was compress over the other side. Just over one inch.
for me ordered the parts and now fixed.
