If this does not work out, I will be fabricating them out of wood, or contacting a guy who I know who works in lexan. I will post that information, including price. I know that volume is cheeper to a point, and it is completely custom.

I don't need a change holder(no toll booths out here) but it would be nice to have some kind of tray/divider
for the huge storage unit. I need some place to keep pens, bank deposit slips, tire gauge, etc. it 's hard to get that big(cooler lol!) organized.
I hope they come out with an accessory soon or we will have to make our own which won't be easy.
Doghouse let us know how the fabricating works out.

Robert,

The change tray has a nice holder for small items. That is the reason I want it. I keep my change in the little holder on the dash just to the left of the steering wheel.

Do you think he has the right part? I don't think the coin tray is worth 52.36!

Thats a lot of coins and more than that a lot of Bull!

If you buy the Titan, especially one with the RF and DVD you should get the coin holder.

I called Nissan a couple days ago and am waiting for a return call on this.

Think of it this way. The president of Nissan USA goes to a fine Italian restaurant and orders meatballs and spaghetti. When he gets his order he sees that the cook left off the meatballs and sauce. He looks across the room and sees that everyone else that ordered before him has meatballs and sauce. He points this out to the waiter who says, " I can get you that but it will cost you $56.69."

No it's like a restraunt that made 50 meatballs, but had an order for 20000 plates of meatballs. The worst part, the Meatballs may not have been on the menu.

If you order an SE with captians or and LE and did not get the "Coin Holder", Call Nissan CA and get a Case/File number, you will probably get one, free.

It sounds way too expensive to me. Are we only entitled to call Nissan to complain about not getting one if we have the DVD systems. Or should they have been on all SE's and LE's.

I just received a phone call from my dealer concerning the change tray. She is telling me that it is not even an orderable part. Has anyone been able to validate the part number that was posted earlier:

Part number 96925-7S000 (cup holder)

Thanks
Bill

Got a call from Jean from Nissan today 2/03/04. She said that they may have been on early models and I said "How early the things just came out in December"... But she was real nice and said her supervisor is working on the situation...whatever, I don't know what will happen but I do appreciate the calls and updates. I'll let you guys know if I find out Yes or No.

I see there are a lot of views on this topic and I told her about it so watch out!

All of our titans with captains chairs have had the change tray... ?

We must not have gotten any of the early production ones.

I spoke to my dealer, and they ordered not only one for myself, but a bunch for themselves. (how ever many that is) They will be sending it to me as soon as it comes in. I will let you know when it gets here.

If you are in VA and looking for a dealer, CONTACT ME! I have the dealership for you to talk to! Unbelieveable service, Excellent people they go beyond the call in everything they have done so far!

UPDATE....I just got back from dealer. After walking the lot and checking every Titan SE or LE with Captain's Chair...some have the coin tray/cupholder or cargo tray as it is called on the window sticker of the Armada, and some don't. The dealership where I bought my Titan says its a standard feature and that my SE should have had one. Nissan also says it is a standard feature on SE and LE with captain's chair but, nobody is willing to finalize the decision. The dealership where I bought my Titan acknowledges that my truck should have come with one and so should of the 25-30 SE and LE on their lot without one but they were unwilling to give me a 65-70 dollar part without autorization from Nissan.

Nissan has yet to authorize it. They say my Titan SE with captain's chair should have one but are unwilling to authorize the dealer to give me one. I have requested that they call my dealer's parts department and authorize the part but I keep getting the statement that we are still researching the problem. I ask what problem, you already said I should have one, I am getting the run around, big time.

I get the feeling their is A LOT of money at stake. I think Nissan made a major, major mistake.

BTW, this is an accessory for the Armada listed on the window sticker for $70.00

Thanks for the research and updated information. I called Nissan USA a couple of weeks ago and explained the situation and the person gave me a case number and said that he would call me back. He called me back last week to tell me he still didn't have an answer yet. This will be a prickly issue for Nissan to handle in deciding who gets the coin holder and who doesn't and why.

I too contacted Nissan and have been called back twice and got similiar response as did BayouTitan.

You are lucky that dealer has time of day for you once you have made purchase.

I just made the call to 1-800-NISSAN1 and talked to a very nice gentleman. He understood the issue and said he has been dealing with this for a little while. He gave me the part number (same one as posted earlier) and told me to contact my dealer, order the part, pay for it and fax him the receipt and my vin.

I called my dealer and talked to the parts department. They looked up the part, found it listed, ordered it and I should have it within a week.

I just got off the phone with Nissan and was transfered to a "Titan specialist"
and was told that he is aware off the issue. He should get an Email next week on what to do about it. He said the the part was standard on the early shipments but has since been discontinued. Great how the hell do you find your pen at the bank drive thru at the bottom of that big ice chest!!!!!
:upsidedow

What is an early shipment? I got my Titan December 30th and there were none to be found until them here.

So I don't (buy) that argument... Make the customer happy and send us all a dadgum coin/remote/pen/whatever holder...Pardon my Texas French.
