I've thought about fabing one out of aluminum tubing that uses the Utili-Trak rails to mount on....But for me it has to have the "race lightbar" look, not the "Texas rollbar" look.

Bada Bing! I'll take those poles and the girls too!

I thought I just read last week where the owners of the Bada Bing were asked NOT to do any major renovations - apparently there is a movie in the works...

And the old fake/bedside mounted rollbar thing... yuck.

I like it because it's a great place to mount OR lights. Where I drive lights mounted to the grille just shine into the grass. I need height to get any realistic distance out of them.

I read a month or so ago that they were going to tear the joint down. maybe there was just too much $$$$$ history and potential there?

I'm sure someone makes a bar for Titan anmut.....just keep googling!!! :google:

The only one I've seen that comes even close to that is this one:

It is made by OR-Fab, but there is no info on their site about it... http://www.orfab.com/ In the "New Releases" section, there is info on the side steps, but nothing else.

I guess I see the point - if it's bolted to the truck it would make it harder for someone to steal your lights.

If I had the need, I think I'd just try to score some ultitrak racks and fab up a custom mount for the front one. That way they could come and go as I needed.

To me, the faux rollbar look that's not really a [bolted to the frame, tig welded, dom tube monster] roll bar is just so 1985...

54 - I actually like the front bumper guard on that truck...

That's a sick looking truck! Thanks for the info.

I run 3 lights mounted hi up front and they do a great job. I haven't had a situation were I was "out of light" yet...With 2 wide beam driving lights and one pencil in the middle it provides a kind of a long range pyrimid of light.

I'll be doing a HID conversion to those lights because I'm greedy...

why not just run a headache rack with some lights across the top.
I'm working on one myself out of some rectangular tube I snatched up a while back.

Been quite a headache of a project, eh no pun intended. I don't plan to run lights across the top don't do much offroading just want a place to put a ladder or long lumber or tubing on occasion, and I may put a few worklamps.

All fantastic suggestions - thanks all. I'm looking into mounting the lights higher up on my brush guard for now.

For what it's worth...
Lights mounted to a bar in the rear lose a lot of light to the top of the cab, and that means they're much better being pencil beams, BUT they have to still mount far enought higher then the cab to get the most light, otherwise they are pointed straight out, and not slighly down as needed.
Unless you are doing a lot of hill climbing where you need some light higher...

Why do you see just about every race truck with roof lights mounting them right in the front of the cab?
