hey guys im a little audio ignorant so i would love some advice, im thinking about adding some subs to the T... I listen to rock 99% of the time, and i have the rockford package in my truck. i just want a little more bass, not somethin thats going to set off car alarms or anything... my question is do i need 1-10, 2-10s, or 12s, ive never had a system in any of my vehicles so any help would be appreciated...

oh and what brands should i go with as well? Thanks in advance

if it was me, i would put 2 sealed CDT 10's. just like blackbeauty just put in, but only 2. it would sound incredible.

I didn't want to lose the space under my rear seats so I went with 2 Tech12volts front seat enclosures w/ 2 Boston Acoustics GT1 8's powered by a Kicker ZX-500.1- they are excellent. Fit and finish are top notch. Sound is not too overwhelming, but they still thump when cranked. If were to do it again, I would go with the 10" slims instead of the 8", but I am very happy with my setup.

I would agree... The CDT's ROCK!!! Seriously... They give a great sound reproduction and I listen to rock 99% of the time as well. You would not believe how these sound!

If you still want storage under your rear seat, you could just go with one. Or get two with an amp rack built into the dual box. Tech12volts can do anything you like, including offer up other suggestions based on budget, taste, sound quality requirements, room alloted for subs, etc.

Shoot him an email. Check my sig for more info.

If you are keeping the stock RF system and just adding a sub & amp, I think one 10 is plenty. If you have two 10s or 12s with decent amp I think you are going to have alot of bass versus the rest of the oem RF speakers and are going to want to replace the oem RF speakers with at least one set of decent comps & an amp to drive them.

..... it never ends.....

i'm in the same boat.....just ordered the replacement sub box from Tech (should arrive on Thursday of this week). I'll let you know how I like it. Tech recommended the Boston Acoustic G1 (instead of the RE Audio he usually puts in) because I listen to HR/HM 99% of the time.

btw - i'll just be running it off the stock RF amp, so I'm very curious to see how it will be compared to the stock RF sub & sh!tty plastic enclosure.

Night and day.... Really... :D

Well, if you didn't leave a trail of jelly beans...... :bang:

thanks guys for all the info, im working on a deal with a member on here for his tech 12, dual 10 box with a sundown 100.2 and boston 10s, im waiting for a shippin quote to see if it is do-able or not.... i stopped by a local place and found a single shallow 10, and box for my truck so if the first plan doesnt go through i will prob just get the single 10, it wont be the same quality im sure but is a lot more affordable

Let me know if the first does not work out and I can cut you a deal on a sub and enclosure / no reason to do a slim sub and some bs box. tell the guy that you are buying from to ship it fed ex its probably cheaper
