ok so could i do the rough country 3" leveling kit and the bilstein shocks with the lift capabilities(not sure of the part number). would this mess up the geometry of things and how much lift would i be able to get?

i kind of want to leave the rear of the truck the same because i reallly like that "raked" look. i don't want it to be level just a wee bit higher in the front.

thank you in advance for all of your help folks!

OK what about that rancho shock? the one that can do the lifting as well? anybody know about this one?

you could do the lift with bilsteins. i have a pro comp 6 inch lift with bilsteins set on the middle perch. I cant say if your uca's would hit your coil bucket though. they certainly might.

i remember when i got my leveling kit i asked the guy at the shop about those and he said that i would need to get new ucas so i was jut curious if all of this would work. my truck sits really low in the front even after the leveling kit that i have. it makes me kind of mad so i am just trying to find an alternate route.

check out the link in my sig...

will you measure your truck from ground to the highest middle point of your fender.

what is the part number for you shocks? and how much did you pay per shock?

is that the stock coil?

You can do any combo you want it just the matter of finding which one works. You can always take the RC spacer out and use the smaller one, or adjust the Bilsteins. DONT BUY THE RANCHO's ..

Can i ask why on the ranchos? just garbage or problems??

They are just not any good Bilsteins are way better

you can get adjustable bilsteins for about 98 bucks a piece.

I have the same problem you have jordan12. I put in a 2'' leveling kit when I bought the truck new in 05 and now parking it next to my friends 08 mine sits alot lower. So I bought the bilstein adjustable struts and getting them installed and taking out the leveling puck on Monday. Hopefully this takes care of the issue.

it might if you put the bilstein on the last setting, the 2008 and up have bigger coils(springs) upfront and thats why is taller get some 2008+ coils and you would be set, better ride and taller lift...

yep thats what im doin to my 07. 08 4x4 springs and 5100 hd's. hopefully i'll like the look..

yeah i hope so please guys let me know and post some pics that woudl be way cheaper. i think

As someone mentioned there are many combinations out there that you can run with the Bilstein 5100s. The bilsteins on the lowest setting add 1/2 inch. On the highest setting, the Bilsteins add 2". You can use them with your leveling spacer. And/or you can add 2008+ 4X4 springs. The newer 4x4 springs will add an extra inch to your truck. But beware that if you plan on going any higher than 2" total lift on your truck you will need after market upper control arms.

This is probably going to sound stupid but I am not a suspension guy and I am just starting to look around. If he does the RC 3" lift or level kit and adds the adjustable Bilsteins what kind of actual lift is that going to give? would it be close to 5"? Like I said this could be a ridiculous question.....

Without going to a full lift kit " longer spindles " our trucks can only handle about 3-3.5" of lift.
