Well this was an interesting experience. i was at the store earlier today and decided to take a ride in the 7 series. went to the grocery store and came out to a couple of guys standing next to my car taking pictures. So i approach them and they both complimented the car and started asking questions. So i was chatting with them and he pointed out his Sierrra Denali, and it hit me...ive raced this guy before. So i asked him, have you ever raced a Grey Titan on 24s? he responded "hell ya, thats a badass truck...its yours?" ..i nodded.
well anyways, i was showing him my headlights and some other guy walks up to us asking questions about the car. I answer his questions and he starts saying how lowered cars are wack and how trucks are the **** and so on. I by no means get offended by that as i clearly understand everyone has different taste and its his opinion and ill respect it even though he was completely disrespectful. Then he mentions that he has a nissan titan and that got my interest. The other guy mentions he has a sierra denali. Now the titan guy starts gloating about his all mighty titan and tells us how its a "special edition LE" and so on and so forth. Well he comes around with the titan and its a ****ing 2004 KC XE! LMAO!! the rear window didnt even have any sort of slider...it was a solid glass, roll up windows, bench seats, color matched bumper. So i call him on it and pretty much flat out tell him that im not sure who told you this is an LE, but you have a stripped down XE. lol Of course he disagrees and points out his wheels, which were the cheapest 20" chrome wheels from discount tire. (the brand was hot wheels) i didnt even know hot wheels made wheels LMAO! then points to his Badges. The LE was was placed mid way up the tailgate like a drunk blind chimp had put them on. and the infamous V8 and Special Edition badges off of ebay.
At this point he starts revving his exhaust, which was nothing but a flowmaster muffler. he steps out and me and the denali guy are just laughing hard. he then calls out the guy in the denali (modded) and starts telling him how his titan will beat that POS chevy. im just shaking my head. On a side note...this Denali i raced i barely beat by 1/2 a truck length and im modded. I know for a fact this guys muffler swapped titan isn't going to be even in the same ballpark. So now this titan guy starts running off numbers. apperntly hes got a 2004 titan with 317 HP and his titan is tuned from nissan directly. Apparently he knows the engineers who designed the titan and he took the truck to them and they put a "nissan" tune which cranks it up to 350+ to the wheels. remember....only mod he has is a muffler swap. at this point the guy in the denali wants to race him and the titan guy tells him lets do it this weekend cuz he had to get home right now. LOL. i just got in to my car and drove away. I did mention to the idiot, as he said he didnt know what titan talk was, to join and share his special edition, nissan tuned titan with others. So lets see if he joins.
This experience just proves to me that the titans have dropped so low in pricing that idiots like this guy are buying them. I was ashamed to be a titan owner for those 15-20 mins. I know each brand has their own types of douche bags, but thats what attracted me to the titan community. We have a lot less retards then the big 3.
