Ya that's what we are buying.

It's a used fob, with a blank key. Not sure where they are coming from

Ahhh, is there anyway to buy just the metal blank? Does the metal blank snap or screw into the fob base??

"Programmed it very quickly" "programmed it in less than 30 seconds"

What are the steps for programming it on your own?

I just ordered my key from ebay (seller: yourkeylessremote, $18.76) so I'm trying to find out what I need to do to program it. Are instructions included with the key? If so, I'll just use that, but didn't know if it would come with them or not.

I plan on taking lots of pix and maybe video to share.

Programming the fob (remote) can be done by yourself but programming the "chip" need to be done by the dealer or someone with the right equipment.

Ok cool Thanks guys!

I'm planning on opening up one of my two keys with a hair dryer and taking the chip from there to put in the FOB. I only got two keys, no fob, with my used T when I bought it.

Thanks to both of you for providing the links for steps on programming the fob!!

Sitting at the dealer getting mine programmed as we speak.......I was told they would cut program and get up to 5 keys done for the low price of 85 bucks so I brought in 4 rogue keys and my original. Thanks to all the advice of everyone with out you guys who make this forum my truck would not be mear as fun!

Thanks Vilim, I was starting to google keys since my wife broke the chip in hers. Found out from your thread I can disable the NATS in uprev program. Going out to try it now! Hopefully her key will work again:)

It gives you an annoying dash light though :(
