Well, just wanted to let you guys know that I am no longer an Armada owner.

Due to the cost of my payments, job suckin' with NO pay raises for years, cost of living rising at 7% a year, insurance, gas and what have you, I got rid of my 2004 Nissan Armada.

I ended up with a Dodge 2005 ( wonderful rebates/discounts ) Quad Cab 4x2. I ended up getting a great deal and now saving several hundred dollars a month on the payment.

It's been great. Nissan couldn't touch the discounts/rebates that Dodge had. I am enjoying the 5mpg increase as well. :) This is a great board.

Trying to find a great dodge forum seems to be a challenge.

I was getting 12mpg avg overall on the Armada, already at 17 in the new dodge truck. Doubt I will see more than 17mpg but it's better than the Armada at 12. Hence, the 5mpg better.

Understand?

Hemi?? Or slower dodge? must be a 6 cyl with those savings on gas.

Congradulation on the new truck, I too was surprised to hear you say you got a mileage increase. I had a 4x2 Dodge 1500 with the old 5.9 and it only got 11MPG.

Congratulations with your new truck, may it always serve you well.
Sorry to hear of your financial situation, but happy to see that there are still people (you) who are smart enough to live within their means. I hope you see an increase (nice fat raise) in your salary and have it a bit easier. You're still welcome in here because this forum is filled with good people.
Best of luck to you.

Clint

once a titan owner, always a titan owner, maybe one of us will catch you on the street LOL!!!

sorry to hear what had happened, good for you on your choice.

Try Dodgetalk.com, if you have a Hemi try HemiTruckClub.com

Good luck with the Ram. I traded in my 2004 Titan for a new 2004 Dodge Ram Hemi, 27,000 flawless miles in 11 1/2 months so far and I drive it like I stole it. Tons of mods available too. Good luck.

Nissan is smart. Those heavy incentives that the domestics are pushing totally kill their resale value. The desiels seem to hold their value pretty well though.

I would've got a crew cab Titan (some good dealer discounts on leftover '05 models) and put an intake and exhaust on it and be at 15-17mpg overall easy. I don't think the new MDS system on the new Hemi's is worth more than 2-3mpg at best in the real world...if that.

The Titan seems to get a little better gas mileage than the Armada. After a few years come trade in time, you'll have thousands more in resale value.

I don't think that there is a pickup truck on earth that holds it's value worth a damn. 4x4s are better than 4x2s for resale value, either way, you're gonna lose your shirt.

Thanks for all the kind words.

It was a freakin' hard decision, but it had to be done. It's not the hemi but the 4.7 with 3.92 gears.

So far, I am enjoying it and it does what I need.

Hey man, no shame. Ain't nothing wrong with savin' some cash. With that said don't let the door hit ya in the a$$ on the way out!!! (just kidding man) Good luck with the Dodge (your going to need it) Damn this Turret's syndrome!!!
