2.5" PRG enough to clear 35s?

I have the 2.5" PRG installed.
I'm wondering if that's enough to clear 35" ProComp AT's without rubbing or trimming?

Perhaps a 305 would be better...since that is 34.5" right?

Check out the tire forum, there is a thread where I tried some 35" BFG Mud terrains, another one for 325x70r17 Toyos, theres also another one where some one succesfully cleared 305x70good year MTRs

Its not going to happen without having some rubbing. A little rubbing in the right place won't hurt, however...

I just put 305/70 MTRs on my Titan with a PRG kit. I get a very slight rub when turning one way, I think it's to the left. I haven't had a chance to check out what going down under there to see if the rub is really that bad. IMO I wouldn't try and put 35s or 315s with just a leveling kit.

Do you have a picture of your rig? I'd be very interested to see it..

305 is actually the number that references the width of the tire. It is basically 12" wide.

I don't have Gregs lift but I have a the 3 inch lift from NE. I have on 315.70-17 bfg a/t. there was a little rubbing but I pulled off the cover and pushed back the pinch weld then heated up the bend on the plastic and pushed it back. They do fit now with no rubbing at all. I think the Half inch diff you may want to see just how high on the pinch weld to bend, but if you want to put them on, it's possable.

PrerunnerGreg ran 35" BFG Mud Terrains on his with only minor rubbing and only a front levelling kit on.

Waterfowler,

I have that same truck. Did you use a 2" or 2.5" front? I know PRG only recomends 2" for the OR trucks. Also, did you put any lift in the back?? I like the way that looks. This could be trouble!

Thanks.

According to the company I bought it from, it is a 2.5" kit for 4x4s. It said NOTHING about not putting 2.5" kits on an OR truck. Also the paperwork I got from PRG said NOTHING about installing a 2.5" on an OR truck. If there is a potential problem, I am going to effin pissed!

Yeah I have a 1" lift in the back.

lol, you got me a little concerned. Looks like some research is in order. If you have any details about the 2.5" conflicting with the OR pkg let me know t22a80, I'd appreciate it. I actually thought the 2.5" may have been a missprint and that all 4wds came with 2" front ends anyway. There is a 2.5" kit for non-ORs AND a 2" kit for OR on 4wd front ends?

Yes, waterfowler there is a 2" kit for 4X4 and 2.5" kit for 2WD. Here is a link on the effect of mixing the 2 kits (read prerunnergregs answer):

http://www.titantalk.com/forums/titan-suspension/39577-2-5-vs-2-leveling-kit-4x4.html

If you bought the kit from PRG, I will buy it from you if you want to put the 4X4 spacer on.

Hey, what about the 4" lift spindles in the front and the spring/block combo for the back? Do you think that setup would work nice and clear 35's? I dont know, just an idea.
it'll be tough w/just 4" spindles....with my spindle & DRs, I'm barely clearing 35s, got about 1/2" between tire and wheel well, but then again I'm running stock wheels on 35s........with the right offset/backspacing it would look nice, though!
