Took Pin Stripes and all badges off of the titan this weekend and it looks great. I read allot of threads on how to do this and i took the advice of everyone on how to do this. So after i got the pin stripes off and all badges off i start to use the goo gone and heat gun when a neighbor came out and gave me this thing called an eraser wheel that goes on the end of your drill, you turn the drill on and run the wheel down where the glue is and within 10 minutes the whole truck is done. After all of the glue is gone you have to go back over the truck with some goo gone and get the residue left over from the wheel and rewax area. Took no effort at all, sorry for the long post just wanted to let everyone no that there is a much easier way. if you want to buy one just google eraser wheel i think they are like 15.00 bucks.

My dealer broke my rear logo so I'm debaged back there. What did you fill the holes with where the badge goes?

Just a cleaner look is my guess, its not like you can confuse a Titan with any other truck? I might do this one day this summer, my truck wants to be anti-bling I think.

Debadging never made sense to me. It looks awful....like the truck was damaged and never fixed right or finished. And sorry, lol...nobody looks at a debadged vehicle and say "wow.....what a clean look". They always look undone causing the onlooker to wonder what happened to it and why they didn't get it finished!

Good point...

Debadging is awesome... take a look at any show cars or trucks... do they say the name of the car on the front, back and both sides??? Nope! Another reason to debadge is to "black out" a black truck... this was the reason I did mine...

Debadging is a much cleaner look and I really don't know anyone who looks at a debaged car and doesn't like it... EXCEPT FOR GIRLS!!!! (joking of course!)

Quite the opposite reaction for many. Anytime I see a debadged vehicle, I give a lil nod in appreciation. It's an individuals taste, just like I think adding chrome accessories is ghey. We all have different opinions on what looks good or not, just happens to be that my opinion is fact. :jester:

Debadge... No free advertising!!!

When Carlos starts sending me checks, I'll put'em back on!!

Had some Toyota employees come ask what make and model my truck was while sitting in line at a In-N-Out drive through... Made me laugh!

I debadged the sides, but left the tailgate. For reasons I can't begin to explain, I didn't really mind the tailgate badges. Besides, if I'd have removed them, I couldn't have added the latest, coolest badge below.

That said - if I had a monster car (BMW M or, Audi S, or Mercedes AMG) those badges would be gone immediately if not sooner. But then again I prefer 'go' over 'show' anyday of the week.

Ha ha ha ha!!! I hear ya. I ordered a new F-150 back in '94. One stipulation I put on it was that when it got delivered, there'd be no "stickers" or "placards" on the back with dealer names. I'd allow a license plate frame cuz I can always remove that and chuck it.

It arrived. I went to pick it up. Sticker on tailgate.

I went inside and asked for the manager.

"What's wrong?"

"My contract with you states 'No Dealer Sticker'"

"But that's what we do."

"Remove it, please."

"We can't do that. It would destroy it. At best, it would leave a mark."

"You should not have done it then, should you? Especially since I specifically requested it be deleted."

"Well, we can't do anything about it now. It's not that big."

"What's your corporate address?"

"Why?"

"So I'll know where to send the monthly bill for you to advertise on my property."

BLANK STARE.......

"Oh, don't worry. It's only $200 a month."

"I'll get someone to take that off for you....."

I hate dealership badges.. The worse ones are those that actually DRILL holes into your trunk or tailgate... Most don't do that anymore, but on the older vehicles, this was the first place that the body cancer started....

I had my 06 Titan for 1 month and just took off all the emblems. I started with the taligate and it looks much better, then went for the doors. I agree it is a cleaner look. Then again that is just my opnion.

That is what taking pride in your vehicle is all about, and being creative.
Some people do things that others may think sucks, but to each his own..

No silly. Some are individual script letters that are very difficult to peel off... and hard not to damage or scratch the new paint when doing so. Better that they just not be put on, IMO.

The badging is one of the first things done to a vehicle when it arrives at the lot. This isnt a "package" they slap on at time of sale. It's the way car dealers have conducted business for years. I wouldnt bother my salesman with this type of request, just take it home and do it yourself. Odds are your efforts will please you better than the dealer's since it is your vehicle and you have expectations. Now if you "ordered" a vehicle and waited for it specifically to NOT have stickers on it, then thats different.

I've never been a fan of those stickers... Not the Pro4x in particular, but any stickers... Like the 4x4 on mine. Who cares if your truck equals 16? Or those ones on cars. Hondamatic... ABS.... 4-Valve... Who cares? It just seems such a silly thing to put on a car. Who cares if it has an automatic tranny or tracks incoming missiles? I prefer the clean look without advertising.

Here is mine debadged... de-chroming too! who likes chrome these days! I plan on painting the chrome stars on the rims soon too. BLACK IT OUT BABY!

I left the 4x4 on the back and also the PRO-4x sticker... you guys think I should take off the PRO-4x sticker too?

I said yes before I looked at the pictures - but after seeing it, and especially black on black - it kinda makes the side of the truck. I think it would be too plain w/o the sticker...

I do not like the regular 4x4 offroad sticker, no matter. (Same goes for the chebby z71 and ford fx4 etc...)

The sticker, lic plate frame or whatever your dealer puts on is advertising.. Unless the dealer gives me the greatest of all deals and I want to promote that dealer.. Than as BB said, pay me $200 a month!!! You should be asked if you want that sticker on your car, not just installed on all vehicles!!!

Oh and yes I work for a dealer and we DON'T install anything without permission!

You driving the vehicle is advertising as well....if you put it that way. Do you send Nissan a bill every month?

It's up to YOU to negotiate a good deal. The dealer isnt just going to say "ok i dont want to make any money to feed my family today, so you can have this at cost." Dont hate on the dealership just cause you failed to negotiate a reasonable deal.

Face it.....it's a way of business. I dont have one on my truck. Did i bug the chit out of my dealer or make silly threats? No.....i went home and did it myself.

That's why the only Nissan badge on my truck is the one on the steering wheel!! When Carlos starts sending me checks, I'll re-install!

You lost me in the middle...

Sorry, but it's a unacceptable part of business.. He asked to not have it put on and they installed it and tried to laugh it off!

That's my point here. If I bought it off a lot, and I have done so, I'd take if off myself. I asked for it not to be done, since it was done at the dealership, and they did it anyway.

And the fact that it didn't have it when they took it off the truck, but put it on during the "prep" once I arrived, just kind of doubled my irritation about it. That's all.

I'm just glad it wasn't one of those "drilled" dealer labels.
