I am trying to figure out a way to give my 05 xe 2wd more control and traction especially off road. I dont think i have limited slip but i am not sure. i have heard that getting a truetrac helps and i know that is a differential but i am not sure if that is in deed what i need to do. i understand that a 2wd cant do everything a 4wd can do but i dont like getting stuck when i am out offroading. Is this what i need or something else?

The TrueTrac is your only real option for an off-the-shelf way to get more traction. It's an excellent diff. Expect another $500 or so for installation.

Yes, that is absolutely what you need. The Titans don't have any kind of mechanical limited slip.

how hard to install?

Pretty extensive mechanical knowledge needed for this install. You have to have a dial indicator and know how to read it, lol, and know how to set backlash with it. If you've never fooled with differentials before, I would recommend getting someone experienced in the matter.
