well guys i am glad to say that there is a new tuning method out for our Titans. It requires no removing of the ECU. It does'nt even require a piggyback module. It comes from the guys at UpRev. I think you will enjoy this! I know I am......

Not bad. Pretty cool, actually. I saw their dynos and it looks like they are picking up about 10-15 hp. Not as much as Stillen's, but you get some more features.

I'm sticking with Stillen, though.

Looks like a good product that I may try in the future if I am dissatisfied with the Stillen for some reason. I just wonder how they arrived at the 700.00 price tag? Could it be they are trying to sway people away from Stillen? Let's hope so because there is nothing better for the consumer than competition. I'm still giving Stillen a while longer with my pre-order but I can hear rats jumping off the U.S.S. Stillen as I type this, lol.

This is pretty cool. I bet they have had this software for a while (using it to do their custom tunes) and were just waiting for someone else to hit the market with a programmer first. Its would be too convenient that they would complete this a few weeks after Stillen's VKPRO was supposed to start shipping. They should put the maps online though, so people could try different ones. One could get lucky and a map for a truck with an entirely different set of mods could work the best.

A bunch of us do this together its alot cheaper .....
I talked with the Uprev guys almost a year ago and they said they welcomed the cost sharing people did with the Uprev software to create a buzz about their products but they said if they put out any tuning software it would "marry" to the vehicle. I know this is how GM vehicles are tuned and they company that puts out the software hardcodes your vin into the software before it ships so it will only work on your vehicle.

One of the features it modifies is Electronic Throttle Control.
So does this mean it gets rid of torque management?
If you choose that option then the answer is yes.

You guys that are just looking at "numbers" will be suprise once you get your VK Pro. The Up Rev power gain is great especially down low. A dyno will not pick up power down low due to an auto tranny.

Every company that has a "programmer" out there for any vehicle force you to "marry" the device to your ECU. They would be stupid if they didn't do that, Cobb does it and so does all the domestic company.

My truck doesn't want to get married he's just looking for a girlfriend so I'll stick with Stillen for now.:D

WHich also means WOT at 0 MPH! I think. Or, the TB opens up
Better order some sticky tires with that WOT@0 mod because I'm still trying to hook mine up with no tune and I have Posi, lol.

This looks awesome! I'm viewin wih my phone, once again... but from what I read, its everything the UpRev is, but done at home! maximize a/f, remove speed/rev limits, throttle-limit fix, timing adjustments... Hell, free tune updates whenever you update your mods! Not to forget being able to log data, read and clear any errors! I gotta add this to my list of must-haves! Wish they were Mac-compatible. Here's my excuse for the new MacBook Pro (boot windows for instances like needing this prog)! VKPro is just a/f adjustment and timing, right? Automatically preset to what they believe is optimized, generally?

Well, I didn't see any menton of price on their site, but i am viewin with my Q so sometimes i miss things... $700 a for sure price?

I have a powerbook g4 do you think you could run virtual pc with a windows os and us it then?

Thats what I have - G4 Powerbook 15'4". Only 2 yrs old, probably could get away with that. Mostly depends on how resource heavy that program is. Basically your runnin Windows as an emulator nside of OSX... Definately something I am going to look into. If I can get away with using my G4 then this will come that much sooner! I don't even have to buy headers first, option to retune is built in! :)

Let my chime in here for 1 second before this gets to far off base. The data cable is married to the ECU. Therefore you can only tune 1 ECU. Now, this is a bundle software package that includes the cipher software. This gives the end user the ability to log there tuned ECU for future tweaks as well as lets say help out a buddy by doing a +2 degree advance on his Titan. I hope this clears this up.

Keep in mind the Cipher data logger bu itself is $400 already.:)
