I know a lot of you have already heard, but for the ones who haven't, Nissan is releasing nismo headers again. They will NOT be long tubes, but according to motorsports they won't be shortys either. As of right now they are having issues with one component of the design and are working out the kinks. They told me that they expect to release them in about 60 days. The person I talked to didn't know enough to tell me a price range or what they were doing about cats, but told me the test truck was showing impressive numbers. As I get more info I'll try and keep this post updated. I also learned that STILLEN is the designer of the new nismos. Any of you who know more please feel free to add your input.

No link from me. I'm at a dealership. That's directly from Nissan motorsports. And as for the nisMORES, I'm sure the quality will be better. I'm not knocking them at all. Just throwing the info out there. The big question is, what's the price difference between the two? They will be both be out soon. We shall see.

Haven't figured out how to quote with this app yet, but sftail I hope he can beat them in price. The only catch in my case is the fact that I get dealer cost. On stillen and the Nissan products. My cost on a new set of stillen lts is 530. And that's shipped from Cali to Oklahoma. I know shortys won't perform as well, and I more than likely will not get a set unless they are ridiculously cheap (which they won't be). And I'm with you on the manufs not standing behind a lot of things. I'll be the first one to tell ppl that because I've seen some stuff working at a dealer. I'll do some digging tomorrow with somebody there that can actually answer my questions. I'm not trying to take away from your project because I think its awesome. I've followed the thread since the beginning. Because I will have a set of somebody's headers. money will be the deciding factor in the end. For those that have the 850 for the nismores, they will I think be the best buy for quality and performance.

I can call and talk with JR anytime at Stillen and still get the Stillens new in the box for that as well, but honestly I have had a set in my hand for the 370z and they just don't impress me. Their exhaust is OK, but didn't come close to making their advertised power numbers.

Most of the Nismo stuff was not covered under any kind of Nissan warranty, unless it was dealer installed before delivery, FYI!

I talked with Motorsports months ago and those prototype headers and the ellusive cat solution was supposed to be in place back in the end of 2011. Details were secretive and sketchy at best despite the fact he had the pre-production part sitting on his office floor.

What was described to me was a mid length header with what sounded like a B-pipe that had 2 cats each. No possible way that will come even close to making the power of the original Nismo headers.

Like I said I think his set will the be the best as far as quality and performance, but not everybody can afford them. And then you have people that always buy the factory parts no matter what. We just had a guy spend 500 for a nismo cold air and install. I don't understand peoplesometimes. Just throwing another option out there for people to look at and make their own decision.

im looking at getting a set of headers with a cat option in the next few months..hopefully this is a option to consider.

JBA headers would be your best choice... and they are CARB compliant...

Are Nismo headers at all smog legal? Just wondering :)
Highly doubt that they'll be released as CARB compliant headers... it only took JBA six years to get our headers CARB certified, and don't even wanna guess how much $$$$ that costs...

The emulator from Stillen only works on 04-06 titans is what I was told all it does is keep the cel off. You still need to have afr's checked on a dyno. I was also told they will not sale them without a header purchase. It works very well kinda like the extended sensor bungs. Pretty smart ******* imo...lol . I can get 02 simulators with adjustable jets you can tune to prevent a cel that screws into the sensor bung also.

They work on newer models as well. Some of them anyways. We've installed them on newer and its been fine so far. And you are right I think, about having to purchase headers to get it. But I work at a dealership and we are a seller of stillen products. I can order just the emulator by itself.

if there not LT headers, good luck if you want performance, I am sure the cheap LT OBX's will out perform them
