I am noticing my transmission is slipping. I hooked up a scan tool and pulled two codes from the transmissions computer.

P1705: Undocumented Code
P1815: Manuel mode switch circuit no up/down signal

Took it the the stealership and one of the techs is saying the transmission is possibly fried. Might need to replace. He took it for a test drive and we are going to further diagnose tomorrow.

Already took it to the dealer. They said the warrenty is voided cause I didn't service the tranny at 30K miles. Its got 37XXX miles. They said I need a new transmission because the oil is burned up. Service Manager is going to try to push it to get it covered under warrenty but isn't promising anything.

So I had this shudder in trans on 2017, took to Nisaan 3x as previously posted. First 2x no codes, they did nothing. 3rd x they feel shudder and then tell me I need a transmission at $8404. I had been saying to flush or change torque converter. I got some story about the torque converter is the transmission. They think when they see a "retiree" it is a gold mine. I asked what was wrong that I need a trannie. they said it is shuddering and no way to fix. So I take it to a local trannie shop and the fluid is blackened not burnt. As you all know there is no dip stip for the tyrans on a 2017 /I asked them several times to perform trans TSBs everyone here posted. nope, they want $800 to do that and they say it wont help. okay back to the shop, they drained the trans, flushed and charged me $660. Yep $660 and the thing runs better than I ever remember. It was fluid, fluid, fluid. CHANGE YOUR FLUID EVERY 30K. What a rip off ... so now I am writing Nissan, no Amer, the dealer, local news outlets (all3) and consumer advocate at state level and DAV. F'ed with the wrong Marine! this may go nowhere but I sure hope it gets on the news.....

The torque converter is a huge problem on the aramada, which uses the same engine and speed as the early second gen trucks. Have them scope and see if your is cracked or bad
