has anyone looked into a way of pulling a fuse or somehow getting around the VDC, or removing it altogether???

i usually turn mine off when i don't want it on. < yours comes with a on/off switch right? I always keep it on all winter due to the slippery roads., definetly helps out on the roads.

You can turn off the VDC, but the ABLS is still there...

As a safety feature, it's much further integrated into the system than just a mere fuse. Use the button to turn it off, but you will never eliminate it.

Didn't notice that!

If you don't have the VDC switch, you don't have VDC...
There are several well discussed methods to dis-able the ABLS(Antilock Brake Limited Slip)
1) For a quick try - On flat ground, put in neutrual, apply park brake, and shut off the truck. Dis-connect the brake switch on the brake pedal(there are 2, dis-connect the lower one, close to the pedal pad) Fire the truck back up, slip into drive and now give it a little brake and gas and watch how much white smoke is released from that poor rt tire...HERE'S the disclamer...WHEN YOU DO THIS YOU WILL NOT HAVE ANY BRAKE LIGHTS AND ONCE YOU PUT THE TRUCK IN PARK, YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO GET IT OUT UNTIL YOU HOOK THE SWITCH BACK UP...

2) Do a search for which wire runs to the ECU(I think it's the wht with red tracer) and open that circuit and install a switch mounted in the dash, you can now turn it off on the fly, as well as getting your brake lights back on with out crawling under the dash...

I did option #1 the day before buying new tires...

thankyou thats what i was looking for...

in option 2 do u loose brakelights still with the abls off?
Actually, no....By installing a switch right before that wire goes into the ECU you "catch" it after the brake switch...

so how would u install this switch??
For detailed instructions, search "Burn out mod"....

The "burnout" mod does NOT disable your ABLS.
Technically you are correct, the "burn out" mod doesn't do away with the ABLS, but it will alow the drive to use the brake to get the tire(s) "lit up" easier...

I also agree with your thread recommendation.
If the OP just's wants to do mad burn outs, the the B/O mod is still one way to go and not lose the brake lights and speedo...
