Man, I could have used the Adhesive wrap. I looked for it online everywhere, all I found was DEI heatwrap. I cut a square of the heatwrap, then cut a hole for the intake tube and used heat tape to tape it to the side of my box where it is open, it actually works but probably doesnt look as a good as that would. I also used heat tape to tape around the bottom of the box where there is that gap, but that doesn't look great either. Maybe I'll just use some Silicone caulking..LOL!

I'll be redoing mine sometime this Spring, to touch it up some. I have learned to use the Adhaesive backed by DEI or ThermTec and then use Black RTV Silicone Caulk to carefully seal the corners from wear. I will be looking for a much "neater" application of the technique when I redo it. I need a new Velcro type heatwrap foor the Tube too. My old one got messed up when I took it off for awhile and let it lay around. The CAI is one of my favorite vusuals.

I have the Velcro wrap too. It was kind of a PITA to put on and get all the holes cut in the right spot lol. I'm glad to hear someone else used silicone caulking. Also, now that you mentioned it, I will also get black Caulk. Clear silicone would have looked very tacky

i dont know, ill have to check. when i plug the camera into the computer it wont let me copy the video files
Let me know if it says something about missing that plug in to do anything, I can send you the 20 dollar plug in for free

I installed my AEM cai today after work and yeah it really is a noticeable difference in power. The sound it makes is just...beautiful.. It will sound so mean with some headers and a good exhaust :)

im convinced, ive been shopping for a intake and I think im going to get the brute force. my first mod is going on tommorow, a cat back flowmaster 70 series muffler single in dual out, i dont know all the best mods yet, but im learning, did I do good with the 70 series?

Was it hard to install? About how long did it take you?
I didn't have any problems although I discarded the bolts for bolting the heat shield and used slightly larger screws which worked out fine. I did weeks of forum searching and diagnostic viewing which I found the AEM the better choice. Next up is a programmer. I don't think I will find an up-rev in my neck of the woods(literally) lol

I Personally haven't installed exhaust yet but I did hear flowmasters on a titan is one of the best sounds you can get. I'm thinking of getting the banks or JBA and leave the stock Y if not get a 2.225"

AEM intake is a sweet looking one and performs well. Gratz on the new mod.

You dont need an Uprev near you to get Uprev. They send you custom tunes in your email after you datalog your truck.

That is true but you won't benefit like you would by being on a dyno while being tune....

Edited: Forgot to mention, if you have an 08+ there could be a chance your ECU code revision number is not in their database and will delay in getting you tuned.
