I could've bought some of those instead of my coilovers....

Picked up the truck from the dealership after a warranty rear bumper install, my 304 JBA that I had ceramic coated in/out and the e-brake serviced.
All I can say is holy sh1t this thing sounds ridiculous

Finally got a few hours downtime without horrid wind, snow, or rain during daylight to work on it. Replaced the power steering pressure hose and now the 3 year old leak is gone at last. I've had the new hose in the garage for four months now. Copper gasket washers were a pain to find, managed to reuse one with some polishing, and found the other in an assortment kit. Fixed my 3 way aux audio input splitter and hardwired charging cords. I built a new rotating phone dash mount out of the remnants of 3 broken ones I had laying around, and chased down the culprit wire failing to charge my auxiliary battery off the alternator. Next time... start the trace process on a phantom, intermittent abs fault, and foglight install. Man, I need new fender cowlings.. things stay up though willpower alone. Still looking for a gm 9.25 front diff housing that's cheap enough for me.

Why a gm front diff? Why not just SAS with a ford.

How do you like it? I was checking it out on youtube and it looks pretty cool!
Inputing addresses is a bit of a bear. Its not that it won't let you do it while driving, because you can. Its that whenever you're doing it, a high level of precision is needed. You have to start over if you get something wrong or else even when getting it right the tiny keys are easy to hit erase instead of enter.

It supposedly maintains an extensive list of previous entries and I think once that builds up, navigating will be a lot more user-friendly.

On the other hand, its pretty up to date in terms of accuracy. It also has a speedometer alert that can be set to announce when you're speeding -- especially useful if someone you don't trust is given the keys since they won't easily be able to figure out how to change the setting.

Works well in both daytime and nighttime. And it allowed me to keep my stock head unit which is almost as modern as my the system in my CTS in terms of apps and connectivity.

I don't plan to use the truck for a lot of exploring but my phone app just isn't nearly as useful as a backup GPS so this works fine for me.

How much are these? Did you get the model with dash cam? If not how much extra was that?

I didn't get the dash camera. My truck has a reverse camera standard and that's sufficient for my purposes. Maybe after the first hit and run incident I'll reconsider it. I ordered it Christmas Day and it was 299 with free shipping. I selected it because you could make the screen go away. The local audio place had mirrors where a third of the screen was permanently GPS. I liked that this gave you a full screen when you wanted.

Replaced driver side prg uca bearing that had gone bad and was clunking non stop. Truck is a bit quieter now, other then sway bar squeaks, oem lcas clunk, and interior rattles lol

Finished Wiring (and dressing the wires) for an under bumper mounted LED light bar. Swapped out my Third brake light cargo lights with super bright LEDs from Diode Dynamics. Highly recommended, clean crisp, bright light. totally worth it. Same with the reverse lights, swapped out the factory lights with the max. brightness LEDs they offer.. they are like damn spot lights now...great for not backing up into stuff with limo tint all around.

Gotta love these trucks

no lol.

job went from a 30 min swap to having to remove the UCA from the truck, take it to my buddy at the local John Deere dealer, using their press and torch to get the bearing out. Safe to say, this time i put a bunch of anti seize in the "cup" that holds the 1" uniball lol.
