I contacted Jim Wolf racing whether they were doing any work on an ECU upgrade as I did with my old 240SX. Clark Steppler does some nice work on the programming side. I never got around to the street cam for the 240SX. This was their reply:

"JWT is currently working on a pop charger intake filter for the Titan.
We have begun some testing to develop an upgrade camshaft for the titan
as well. We are working on ECU development but this is slow and on
going. Sign up on our e-mail list on our home page to receive the
latest news of upgrades for you model."

Every once in a while someone say they're developing something. I'm not holding my breath till I actually see it for sale.:D

Understood, but taking into consideration that their business specializes solely on Nissan products, it holds the greatest promise so far- unlike other tuners trying to develop performance products for a variety of car companies.

I registered months ago when M95 mentioned they had blanks. It would be nice if they even listed us in teh drop down...at least it would look like they are doing something for us for real.

The POP charger actually works quite well. I have it on my 350Z and you can definately feel the difference in hp. (butt test) The first time I went to stillen Z day and dynoed the car with the pop charger and nismo cat back exhaust it put down 256 to the wheels. The dyno guys were quite surprised. All the other N/A cars were putting down numbers in the 240's. I was the only one with the pop charger.

If Jim Wolf makes one for the Titan, I will be one of the first ones in line to pick one up.

when i called yesterday trying to get release dates they said the cams are few months from being released while the ecu is atleast half a yr away..
They are very busy on there G35/350Z Twin Turbo kit right now. As they are working with CARB to get it 50 state legal. With a project like that its a race against time. I am sure once that is done it will take him no time to get titan parts to the market.

Best luck to Clark & Jim @ JWT. Great People. A true pleasure to know.

What would the typical HP gain be with a kit like this?

Papa D - Are you asking about the ECU? If so I know of a guy in Florida that had the TS mod down and he gained little if nothing on max HP when dyno'd. This can be explained/proven by the stock ECU is in full ouput mode in 3rd gear under WOT.

However what I expect we will see with a tuned ECU map is quicker 0-60 times and quarters due to the modificiations done to stock maps which are detuned.

So if your looking for peak to peak you might get shocked but if your looking at gitty up and go on a stopwatch then you might just be surprised.

I'd really like see the TCU modification for shifts. I'd really like to "work with" what the truck is built for; However we just need it to work in it's sweet spot.

I also beleive that we really do not need to run this engine at higher RPMs than 6K as I bet there might be problems with our pieces parts. When I run mine hard it really does not sound all that great at higher RPM's and the HP does fall off quickly up there.

So anyway there's my 2 cents. On what one can expect.

I am sorry to say it, but this will probably never happen. In order to get the turbo kit to fit in the 350Z/G35 engine bay, it involves moving the cats. Something CARB will not let them do. I really hope it is approved, but I am not holding my breath. I will give them one more year to get it approved, otherwise I will be going with the Stillen kit for my Z.

As for the Titan stuff, I agree with what others have already stated. Without ECU tunability, most mods are prettymuch useless.

Cobb Programmer is close to being released.. I'll probably go this route since i don't have a laptop and i don't see me paying 2k just to have datalogging...
Cobb claims to have complete tuneability for cams, headers, nitrous, etc so i will definatly buy this since in my opinion is better then the Technosquare flash. Can't wait till we have some titans in the 13's damn hemis need to be smoked.:flamed:
