Does anyone know of a winch mount where you can mount it behind the front bumper? If not how about a bull bar/ winch mount.

I would NOT recommend mounting a winch capable of pulling the Titan out of anything on the bullbar! That's just asking for trouble....

There's not enough room behind the bumper for a winch mount, from what I've read on here of those who've tried before....

You might look into the aftermarket front bumpers that have winch mount capabilities, or a custom mount of some sort. :dunno:

You can get a receiver hitch for the front, which mounts to the tow hook locations, then mount the winch to that.

Mile Marker makes a winch mount for the Titan that goes in front of the bumper. You will likely not find it on their web site but you can find it on the 4 x 4 parts dot com web site. Look in the "Armor" category, then look at the lower right hand item. I have that winch mount. If you think you want it then review my Install writeup before you start.

Just for the record, I didn't pay anywhere near that much for the winch mount. I think I paid a little over $400. I have no idea why it went up so much. While I like my winch mount I'm not sure I would pay that much for it. I would instead be looking into a full bumper replacement that could mount a winch.

Thanks for the feedback guys! I think before winter I want a winch, but I just can't find a mount I like. A friend just bought a 08 Dodge Powerwagon with a warn winch mounted behind the bumper, front and rear electric lockers and a electric sway bar disconnect. I just got done putting a Eaton Locker in the back of another friends chevy. Now it's time to beef up the Titan a little bit.

You will never beef up the Titan to be comparable to that Power Wagon. Not easily at least.

No, not at all. It's a really nice truck. I'm thinking a winch and a locker by winter and I'll be happy with that. We tow the snowmobile trailers to a camp thats 8 miles up a unplowed mountain road all winter. It gets pretty interesting sometimes, I just want to be prepared!

I remember the thread about the receiver hitch for the Titan. I looked at it long and hard before I went with my winch mount. As I recall it was just going to look too odd for my taste. If it says you can't use the tow hooks with the receiver I have to wonder if that is simply because they don't provide bolts that are long enough. With my winch mount I still have the tow hooks but I had to use longer bolts.

what im doing is buying a grille guard and taking off the headlight cover part...i think this looks the most b/a

Yeah I can't believe that milemarker asks that much for their winch mount, that's ridiculous. For most popular vehicles you can buy the huge nasty winch bumpers for that much or a little more.

I just had a custom front receiver made that fits in behind the lower grill/bumper by a great local 4x4 performance shop. It is completely bolt in (need to remove the grill and skid plate to get it in and out) and looks and fits REALLY nice. It cost me $600 Canadian but for me that was a great deal. I already had the winch on the receiver mount and the wiring to run the quick connects to the front and back from my last 2 trucks (Dodge Dakota and Nissan Frontier). It's a really clean looking set up. I will take some pictures and do a full write up soon for everybody.
