i thought i had this posted already but couldn't find it... i'm looking at cutting up some stock uca's and then welding some flat stock to it to beef it up, i was thinking this or just get them and buy some tubing to completely build new ones. Anyone have experiance with doing this?

oh... i'm wanting to do this cause i've got 2" spacers and running 325/60R18's
 
If I were you I would modify the coilbuckets first. Such as cutting the curved part and welding in two pieces of plate making it a v instead of curved. Letting the ucas to droop more. Jdubs did this.

hmm never thought about this! seems a lot less dangerous than chopping up a UCA...lol
 
My thoughts exactly lol. If I had my old Titan I would've done this by now and had a write up. But I don't lol.
