Well I'm brand new and I think that it's awesome all of you are still in here! All of us new blood could definitely use your sage advice friends! Anyway, you're only as old as you want to be right? Have you all ever met up in person since you've all been around so long? Certainly some names are starting to look more familiar than others for some of you?

 

I've met a few people from here over the years. All been pretty good guys!

This is just my opinion. I think the first generation Titan's will have a cult following. It might take several years, but I think it will happen. We all know this is the truck that changed the game back in 04. I wasn't able to buy a Titan in 04 but I knew I would own one some day. This is for the original Titan members that paved the road for us. Titan brothers and sisters forever.

 

Been here over 12 years and still have my 12 year old Titan with 41,000 miles. Still has lots of life left in her.

 

Think that one had the most posts and views of any thread ever on here, where's Gadget and the butts thread

Figured out the issue with the email, Fishn - they made a simple typo. If you drop the S from Trucks, and use:
TexasNissanTruckMeet@gmail.com, it goes through and there is a bunch of good organizational info that includes up to 15 RV spaces for long distance attendees. Looks pretty well organized!

I still like this place. Not that I post much anymore, I'm still here.

 

Checking in... I don't post much anymore. I do browse the forum weekly though.

Pretty much have not done any mods or made any changes lately.

Also haven't had any strange issues (knock on wood).

So I haven't been on much.

I'm up to about 130k on my 2005 right now. Nothing on the new market appeals to me, and I cannot afford a new truck anyway. Really would like to add some Air Bags this spring. Also really like the new Bronze wheels from Method. I think that they would look pretty sick with my Red Brawn truck. Really don't want to dump money on wheels though, but need to do something to make my old truck feel new again.

 

Little changes/mods keep the new truck purchase itch away. :big_grin:

I poked around on the Texas regional forum, and it looks pretty dead. Last post regarding the 2016 meet seems to be the one where the Wilson's handed the organization for 2016 to the forum, but it doesn't look like it was picked up after that.

Anyone still out there working toward a meet? I'll ask on that forum...

 

A few members used to host one in belton but for reasons I forgot they quit. It's in the texas section of the forum went to one for a brief visit met some cool people an saw some nice rigs.

 

Pale Rider, there are lots of good Titan meets out there if you happen to be in one of the main areas, of couurse the MVP meet in Carlisle, one in Texas coming up soon think in April,"Nationwide" meet in Vegas in March (but it's pretty much the Cali area owners), one in August in Pigeon Forge, unfortunately they are all about 1000 miles away from me.

 

Where & when on the TX meet, anyone? Thanks.

It's good to hear from the originals. I've been a member since 2014. It's a great site IMO. We all get a little rambunctious and bull headed and say things we regret later. I am one of them. Not anymore more though. We are all family here. Again nice to hear from the OG's out there. You made this happen.

 

This place is a priceless collection of real world feedback on the Titan platform. Glad to still be a part of it.

Congrats first of hanging in there so long. It must have been awesome to be here in the beginning and when this place was building up steam and growing through the whole aftermarket growing pains. I come across many many threads of good tech that this place lacks now presently. And see many many were banned. it looks like the place was groovy back in the day and now IMHO has become a mediocre forum just like others with the constant tire, lift, what fits, LED, how do I install headlight bulbs etc etc. I see very few people left who actually post tech and engine mods.

so my question is: what happened? why were alot of the former members banned?

 

There were a lot of chest beaters back in the day, that's for sure. And the mods here have always been pretty decent people, but there was one guy that also just liked banning people. He's not here any more, either, and those days were like the wild west, but he even banned me for a week for something. I was so insulted I didn't come back for a year or two; I've never been banned for anything on any forum, ever, and it's not in my nature to call anyone out online so I doubt I said anything on here.

Props to all you guys who have been apart of this forum for that long. also sticking with a great truck for so many years. got my Titan new in 2012 still love it more than the new trucks. amazing machines

 

I never would have imagined, purchasing three new Titan's. To date, it still brings a smile to my face when driving. :smile:

 

Thanks guys for all of your knowledge! I still check in on here from time to time. Spend more time on the Titan xd forums since it has more activity regarding the Cummins.
