O.K. there has been a lot of were can i get gears posts.
So I thought I would gather info from different threads and posts and put it on one thread.
Thanks to all who contribute and make TitanTalk.com such a great source of information.
My Personal Findings
I have found the 2004-2007 Titan/Dana 44 to be very reliable once the stock carrier is replaced.
In my case with a TrueTrac LSD, this eliminates the spider gear weak link in the stock carrier.
I have not experienced any broken internal parts nor axle seal leaks.
I play off road once in a while and roll 37" MT's with 3" wheel adapters to fill in the glass bedsides.
The bearings are still rolling with no sign of failing.
On another note, the front bearing are fine as well.
It is also very important to make sure the axle vent is in good order, some have experienced axle seal leaks.
Due to the axle not venting properly and added pressure blowing out the end seals.
WHAT GEAR RATIO DO IT GET FOR BIG TIRES
I had 2.94's with 35's when I found out about Hoopers, I went with 3.73's
It was better but was not impressed  I stepped up to 37's and got 4.56's It was good :teethmast I was content. Now the difference I see is guys hung up on higher RPM'S  Friggin LET IT GO! when I step on the gas I want my truck to respond quickly from 0-60 & 60-90 and respond quickly if I need to pass on the freeway. Titan's by nature are not gonna get great gas mileage, So here in my personal recommendation. With 35's especially light AT's go with 3.73's minimum, PERIOD! no 3.36 $hit! 3.36's are for puzzy's! If you have a heavier 35" MT or want maximum performance go with 4.11's you will be doing a little more RPM on the freeway but so Fuggin what! that is what 5th gear is for! If your afraid of a little more RPM pull back to 65 MPH and your cool ( and no tickets )
now for 37's  the only 37" tire I would run 4.11's with are the little BFG petite AT's  BIG FUGGIN HEAVY 37's need 4.56's PERIOD! :ftard: :bangit:
Right now with big heavy half worn 37" MT's I'm at 2850@80 2500@70 2250@65 and average 288 miles per tank 11.52 MPG, and I'm always on the gas!
The only way to get better gas mileage from your Titan is to feather the throttle, easy acceleration and anticipation. I tried and only lasted 1 week...........:teethmast
The two options
At this time to change the gear ratio in the rear diff of a Titan. ( there is nothing for the front diff at this time, Superior may have something for the 4WD soon? )

Superior now makes 4.10 & 4.56 ratios that install without modding the carrier but with a spacer
I don't particularly like the spacer thing but no one has posted a failure.

Modified Dana 60
With 2004-2012 Titan axles housing ends & axles.
The next option is to replace the Titan/Dana 44 with a modified Dana 60.
You can cut the axle housing ends off any Titan/Dana 44 rear end and weld them onto a Dana 60 housing. The Titan 32 spline axles fit the Dana 60 32 spline carrier, the Titan housing ends house the tone ring sensors and the Titan axles have the tone rings. This will keep lights off the dash and keep the speedo working. You can have custom 35 spline axles made to use the Eaton Dana 60 TruTrac.

It seems when you change the gear ratio on a 2WD you lose cruise control.
How ever the 4WD guys that have changed there gear ratio have retained cruise.

Or
The seal is behind the bearing that is pressed on,the bearing needs to be pulled to get to the axle seal. And while yer at it,might as well do both sides
Break the lug nuts loose before jacking up the truck.
Jack up the truck remove tires, remove brake calipers and rotor, drain the diff, loosen four nuts retaining axle.
Remove axle and wipe off gear fluid.
Take to a shop to have them R&R the bearings and seals.
(Always a good idea to have the parts and call a local shop in advance to arrange to have this done so things go as smoothly as possible )
Return and reinstall, refill diff with new gear fluid
